** IMPORTANT PLEASE READ BEFORE ENTERING **

• The Troupes competition will be held on Sunday 21 July in the Governers Centre of the Sydney High School 

  • There are 2 age groups

    Age Group	Min. Number	Max Music Length
    Under 12s	10 per troupe	5 mins
    Open (ABDC Qualifier)	12 per troupe	5 mins

• A Group Entry fee of $70 per Troupe applies AND

• Each performer requires $40 Competitor Entry Fee which includes unlimited spectator entry

• If a performer is also in a solo, the $40 fee is waived

• Troupes will not be judged on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, but prizes will awarded for:  Best Choreography, Most Entertaining & Most Technically Excellent

• Judges will also be looking to enter ONE Wild Card entries into the Finals of Australia's Best Dance Crew (ABDC) where troupes will have a 1 in 3 chance of winning $2,000 in Prize Money! (Open age group ONLY)

• These wild card entries will compete against the 2023 Winners of ABDC on Sunday 23rd September at Sydney Olympic Park

• As a Wild Card Entry, your troupe members will not have to pay for the $290 p/person entry fee (i.e. the weekend pass to the Australian Dance Festival.  This fee will be optional for your troupe members, i.e. they can choose not to attend the workshops and shows, and come only to compete on Sunday 23rd September. If they choose to attend the whole festival, the $290 fee will still be applicable)

• When entering your groups you can select and pay for your Group Entry,  but you do not need to purchase competitors passes until 3 weeks before the event.
• We understand that things change with group members.
• We want to make it as easy as possible for you by waitiing until closer to the event. 
• By then any of your students entering a solo independently from your studio will have paid for their competitor entry fee, so these will not be charged to your studio.
• We will send you an email when you can go in to your account and purchase the Competitor Entry Fees for your students who have not purchased their own

• We recommend that you encourage students to enter their own solos to save you time (you will still  be able to access their music uploads, scores and critiques through your Studio Portal, even if they register themselves).
• If you would like to enter solos on behalf of your students you will need to create an account for each individual student using the Performer Portal
• You will require the Student's full name, date of birth, address as well as Parent Contact Details.

• Your students can access their Music Uploads, Live Event schedule / program, Scores and Critiques using their login (First Name & Last Name OR Email address, and a Password)
• For each student who is Linked to your Studio Account, you will ALSO be able to access their Music, Scores and Critiques.
• Students are automatically linked when they enter Your Studio in their Performer Profile.

• If your entries for an event total to more than $100 we allow part payments to be made.
• When selecting "Pay your fees" you can select the invoice you are paying and change the amount to a minimum of $100.
• You are then able to make payments using this process as many times as you like until the invoice is paid in full as long as it is BEFORE the event payment deadline. Minimum amount for each payment is $100.
